Through specialized processing, discarded fragments of Nishijin-ori fabric—once woven for Kyoto’s opulent obi sashes—are encased in transparent glass, ensuring that no two pieces are ever identical.

Inspired by the flowing form of tabane-noshi (bundled ceremonial ribbons), this pattern weaves together auspicious symbols such as kikkō (tortoise shell), hanabishi (floral diamonds), and paulownia crests within a dynamic, ribbon-like curve.

Set against a rich green background, the multicolored blossoms and motifs create a festive and ornate impression. With its celebratory tone and graceful movement, this design is ideal for formal occasions, embodying traditional beauty and joyful symbolism.
