Through specialized processing, discarded fragments of Nishijin-ori fabric—once woven for Kyoto’s opulent obi sashes—are encased in transparent glass, ensuring that no two pieces are ever identical.

This elegant design features flowing streams and drifting mists rendered in fine gold thread, creating a layered and spacious visual field. The interplay of curves and haze evokes the subtle dynamics of nature and the beauty of negative space.

A finely woven ichimatsu (checkered) ground adds intricate texture and depth. Blending classical motifs with abstracted form, the pattern offers a contemporary take on timeless Japanese scenery—both serene and technically sophisticated.
